Power of One Virtual Conference To Focus On Reinventing, Rebranding and Relaunching, Through COVID19
By Arthia Nixon
Atlanta, Georgia… Over a dozen speakers from four countries and multiple states are sharing their expertise as political analysts, corporate trainers, entrepreneurs, tourism professionals, career coaches and educators in the 2020 Power of One Virtual Conference. Organizers say the conference is timely as people are adjusting to the new normal by creating their own careers in the midst of COVID19.
The event was created seven years ago by internationally-recognized serial entrepreneur, Certified M aster Leadership and Men’s empowerment coach, and philanthropist Geoffrey Ingram, Sr. In addition to his contributions to those affected by hurricanes in The Bahamas and wards of the state in Jamaica, Ingram is known for hosting men and boys events through his It Takes A Village Project nonprofit organization. He was booked to do training sessions in Kenya but had to postponed due to the pandemic. That inspired him to shift and connect virtually rather than cancel his conference.
“COVID19 has us going virtual this year but it is allowing us to reach a wider audience than we ever had with the in-person event,” said Ingram. “We have influential media personality and activist Dr. Rashad Richey known for hosting the Rashad Richey Morning Show and MSNBC appearances, master motivator Destiny Inspire, Dr. D. Fiyah Oates of Iyanla Fix My Life fame and wealth coach and investor Robert Watkins among the speakers. We also have a youth segment featuring talented youth entrepreneurs, athletes and authors as young as ten. COVID19 has showed us that we all need to rebuild, reinvent and relaunch and this conference is focused on the individual being holistically developed in order to effectively lead.”
Ingram says that while there are many people who are hurting financially in these times, there are many others who are creating new revenues of income by creating new products and skillsets, networking with the right people and rebuilding from ground zero.”
Hosting the general sessions is author Qshebra Taylor featuring Dr. Iria Loraine Abram, Duquesa Dean, Dr. Jerome Maultsby, Almando F A Rigby, Dovev Weaver, Sherry Gaither, Elisha Sumo, Marilyn Johnson, and Rachael Wolff and presenters. Keynote youth speaker is entrepreneur and motivational speaker Jordan Ingram while activist, journalist, and actress Alejandra Stack hosting that segment.
